Maharah Company has launched a new awareness video titled “The Runaway Domestic Worker” as part of its ongoing efforts to raise community awareness about the importance of complying with the approved rules and regulations when hiring domestic support workers, and to avoid workers running away or dealing with runaway workers.

The video aims to warn against the risks of searching for or dealing with undocumented workers, workers without an official contract, or workers from unreliable sources, due to the legal and regulatory problems that may result—issues individuals can easily avoid. The awareness video also explains that relying on unknown labor sources may expose the home and family to serious risks, whether in terms of safety or in safeguarding rights.

Through this video, Maharah emphasized the importance of verifying before making a choice, and ensuring that the worker is hired under a documented contract through an approved entity. This helps protect the rights of all parties and limits unlawful practices such as workers running away or dealing with runaway workers. It also stressed that relying on official entities helps reduce risks, strengthens families’ trust in the services provided, and provides a safe and stable home environment.
